Although our children often enter the school at levels which are below national average, they generally make excellent progress and by the end of key stage 2 they are usually above or well above national average. As we are a small school, our data can vary if there is an unusally high level of special need within a particular class. A summary of our results for 2019 is shown below.
Early Years
Many of the children started Reception class in 2018 well below their age appropriate level but good progress during the year ensured that pupil outcomes were broadly in line with the national average by the end of the year for most areas of learning. (scores in brackets show national average)

Year 1 and 2 phonics test
In previous years, the proportion of pupils achieving the expected standard in the phonics test exceeded national average. However, in 2019, our Year 2 cohort had 6 pupils with special or additional needs and several of these did not therefore achieve the required standard in phonics.
