The “Friends of St John’s” is the parent teacher association (PTA) for our school. As parents you are automatically members of the Friends group. Our main aim is to fundraise to support the school in providing extra equipment and stimulating experiences which will benefit the experiences of ALL our children

Through fundraising, the Friends have been able to provide:

• Playground equipment 

• Annual Christmas pantomime trips and performances for all children

• Contributions to the cost of class trips, particularly more expensive trips

How to get involved

We meet fortnighly, on a Tuesday morning from 9.00-10.00 am in the school staffroom to plan future events and fundraising. Young children are welcome and tea, coffee, and biscuits are served.  It’s a great way to get involved in the life of the school and make new friends.

You do not need any special skills- just lots of enthusiasm!  If you can’t get attend the meetings there are a number of ways you can help and get involved – from designing posters to providing contacts for raffle prizes and helping out at events. We a whatsapp group to make communication easier for those who can't attend meetings - just contact the school office for details of how to join this. 

Other ways to help

Shop online at your normal retailers via Easy Fundraising and St John's and we will receive 1.5% of your shop as a donation at no extra cost to yourself. There are nearly 3,000 retailers on board including: Amazon, eBay, John Lewis, Tesco and Next – it doesn't cost you a penny extra!
