Autumn 2026

A huge welcome to all of our new pupils and welcome back to all of our returning children. We are looking forward to getting to know you all better. This half term we will be learning through the theme of Ourselves, we will be teaching the children how to use the classroom and focusing on developing language and friendship groups. 

We have some amazing core texts coming up and some wonderful learning opportunities. As ever, please do not read the core texts until we have finished them. We will send a link via Seesaw to the core text when we have finished the leaning linked to it. 

Dates for your Diary

7th September - Current children return to Nursery. 

23rd September - Individual photos, please make sure that the children are in full school uniform.

2nd November - School closed for staff training.

8th and 9th December - Parents eveings.

10th December - Torchlit Walk

We have been learning about... powerpoints

Each week we create a powerpoint of what the children have been learning about during the week, on Friday afternoon parents are welcome to come into the classroom to share the powerpoint.  We understand that some parents are unable to make it into the classroom so we will uploaded it each week onto the website.

Phonics

In the Nursery we focus on the Little Wandle Foundations for Phonics. In the second half of the autumn term we will be introducing our Sound of the Week. We will send out what the sounds are on the curriculum map. Please remember that it is the sound not the letter that we are focusing on, for example if the sound is f then the children could bring in a phone.

We will send out the song of the Song of the Week over Seesaw. Please download the app so that you can access these. 

Library

There is a library trolley by the Nursery door. Please access it to borrow a book. 

Parentmail

Most information for parents will be sent through parentmail. Please ensure that you have access to the app. Tara is always very helpful if you are having trouble.
