Autumn 2025

A warm welcome back to Nursery! We are so excited to make some new friends, and begin our learning journey together.  This term our topic is "ourselves" and we will be learning about how to use the classroom, and how to be a good friend.  The curriculum map which details much of the learning that we will be doing can be found here. If you need a hard copy please let Miss Min know. In the second part of the term our topic will be food. The curriculum map can be found here. 

We will base our learning on some quality core texts, the texts we are using will be displayed in the cloakroom foyer. The first one is "On Sudden Hill" Please do not read this text at home until we have finished our learning on it, as we use the story to make predicitions and share ideas. This is not as easy for the children if they already know how the story goes!

We are excited to share our learning with you at home.  In the nursery we use a progrmme called "Seesaw" to share songs, stories and other videos with you. If you have not received your login password yet please speak to Miss Min.  Seesaw is a great way for you to share learning at home, and also upload your own videos or photographs so we can share the learning happening at home back at school too.

 

Thursday 4th December- Torch Lit walk

Tuesday 16th December- Nativity performance

 Friday 19th December - Christmas church service.  School closes at 2pm

 To be confirmed- Theatre trip and Christmas Party.

Every Friday at hometime we share our learning for the week in a powerpoint.  This is a great way for you to see the learning that is happening and spark conversation about what the children remember. We are aware that not all parents can make the friday powerpoint and for this reason we also share the powerpoint here:-
