Summer Term

A warm welcome back to our Summer term! We are looking forward to a new term full of wonder and discovery as we begin to think about the topic of growth.  We will be sharing all sorts of wonderful texts relating to this theme.  The curriculum map showing all the oportunities that the children will be able to access can be found here.  There are also hard copies avaliable on request,  As with other terms, you will be able to see the current text we are exporing on the welcome board in the Nursery cloakroom, there are some really great texts to base our learning around this term and we are excited to share them all with you! Please make sure you do not share the entire text with your children at home until we have reached the end of the topic, and uploaded a version of the story to Seesaw.  Please continue to access the Seesaw app at home as a way of helping your child continue their learning journey with you at home.  If you are having difficulty logging in please let me know and I will povifr you with a new QR code.

(Please watch this space for some diary dates.)

Our weekly learning powerpoint on a Friday afternoon is very popular. We know that many of the children love to share their learning with you.  We are aware that not all parents and carers can make these slideshows and for this reason also we make the powerpoints available here:

Spring Term

Hello! and a warm welcome back to Nursery in this new year!  We are also welcoming a number of children into the main Nursery space from the 2 year old room, and some new starters coming to join the fun too!

We are so excited to share lots of learning with you again this year,  this term our topic is Travel and transport and we will be sharing all sorts of wonderful texts relating to this theme.  The curriculum map showing all the oportunities that the children will be able to access can be found here.  There are also hard copies avaliable on request,  You will be able to see the current text we are exporing on the welcome board in the Nursery cloakroom, Please do not share the entire text with your children at home until we have reached the end of the topic, as we draw lots of learning from the text and sometimes we want the children to predict and create their own stories based on the text, and this is tricky if they are already familiar with the story plot!

Each child in the class also has access to an online learning tool called "Seesaw" which allows us to send links to songs and stories home to you, and allows your child to easily share their learning with you, it is also possible to send messages and photos of what your children are getting up to at home back to us in school so we can share them on the interactive whiteboard with the rest of the class.  Please take time to talk to your children about their learning and support them as they build a repetoire of songs and stories they enjoy.  We find its a really helpful way for you to help your child talk about nursery and chat about their day.  If you are in any doubt about your login for this website please let me know and I will provide you with the login details!

We will be starting out core texts with the story "The everywhere bear" and children will have the opportunity to bring the class bear home to spend the weekend with them.  If the everywhere bear comes to your house we ask you to record some of the activities that your child completes with the bear through taking photos or videos and uploading them onto their Seesaw account.

(Please watch this space for some diary dates.)
