School council

Each class from Year 2 to Year 6 has 2 school council representatives. They gather the views of their class and meet regularly to discuss ways to improve the school. Some of our school councillors have important roles to help the group work well.

Last year we started to focus on extended schools and the type of clubs children would like to attend- have a look at the minutes for the meeting on 29th January (below) too see what was most popular. We also continued to focus on charities that support our school vision of 'love one another as I have loved you'. We like to work closely with charities so that we can understand what they do and how our fundraising helps people who are supported by them. We had a visit from Andy Chrich at CARIS who told us how they help the homeless through night shelters during the cold winter months. Unfortunately Covid put a temporary halt on much of our work but it will continue this year.

Despite having a very disrupted year, the school councillors helped to gather children's ideas on what should be included in a film about our school and also helped to make it. You can watch it by clicking here
